Dubai Business School (DBS) is seeking to fill a full-time position of Assistant or Associate Professor in International Trade Law and Customs Management. The newly appointed faculty member will help shape DBS’s research agenda، teaching programs and engagement with practice. We seek an academic committed to contributing excellent research، innovative teaching، extensive engagement with policy practice، and cooperation with DBS’s external partners.

Duties and responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to teach the core curriculum to International Trade Law and Customs Management to undergraduate and post graduate program students، including courses in the areas of International Law، Customs Management and، Public Administration، as well as policy-relevant elective courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate will contribute to the development of an interdisciplinary and policy-relevant curriculum.

The ideal candidate will (have):
Hold a Doctorate or PhD in International Trade Law، Customs Management /Policy، Public Administration (or plan to defend their doctoral research shortly);
Demonstrated capacity for research excellence and ability to collaborate with faculty across disciplines;

Experience in quantitative research and teaching in the areas mentioned above;
A research agenda that is relevant for policy-making;
Exhibit a passion for teaching and an openness to employing innovative teaching methods;
