تعلن كلية العلوم الإنسانية والاجتماعية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة القطرية عن وظائف جديدة شاغرة عضو هيئة تدريس بدرجة أستاذ مشارك في دراسات المرأة في المجتمع والتنمية وذلك في التخصصات التالية:

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) aims to deliver innovative programs that meet educational needs in the fields of humanities and social sciences in Qatar and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Position
CHSS invites applications for an Associate Professor Faculty Position in the Women, Society and Development MA program with a specialization in Women’s and Gender Studies and a disciplinary background in anthropology, sociology, history, political economy, art and literature, or other related social science and humanities fields in the Middle Eastern context. The position is based in the Department of Middle Eastern Studies (MESD) at CHSS.
The candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses at MA level, apply an innovative range of methodologies for teaching and assessment and contribute to curriculum development in their area(s) of specialty. The candidate will supervise MA and PhD students and will be committed to research-based teaching and learning and the integration of professional practices into classroom activities, encouraging students to develop their analytical skills drawing from interdisciplinary areas such as anthropology, sociology, history, political economy, art and literature or other related social science and humanities in the context of the Middle East.
The candidate is expected to have and maintain an active research agenda commensurate with the rank of an Associate Professor and participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives and activities.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, experienced, and internationally recognized scholar with a strong record of research output and actual or potential for research funding/grant acquisition. He/she will be expected to contribute to a wide range of leadership tasks at a strategic level. The candidate must be fluent in English, and preferably proficient in at least one language of the region.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
PhD or terminal degree from an accredited university as required for teaching in certain fields.
Minimum of five years’ experience in research and higher education.
Evidence of proficiency in teaching, student supervision, and curriculum and program development.
Research and scholarly achievements judged competent and adequate for the rank of Associate Professor in comparison with peers active in the same field at major research universities.
Continued evidence of participation in the scholarly activities and academic affairs of a university or other appropriate organization, or in an appropriate professional society.
Ability to work with and lead diverse groups, cultures, and communities.
Evidence of significant national and regional networks and collaborations in both teaching and research activities.
Additional Requirement
Knowledge of Arabic or another Middle Eastern language
Significant national and regional reputation in scholarly endeavors (funded research grants, publications, IP patents, etc.) in comparison with peers active in the same field at a major research university.
International experience and qualifications
Experience in supervising PhD students
Experience of service on university committees and service-related activities in Higher Education.
Proficiency in English language.
