Substitute Teachers - Job Application
Substitutes are contacted on on-call basis and according to the business needs. You will be contacted by the divisional administrative assistant to check your availability at a specific date / time.
Substitutes could be asked to cover on a daily basis, short-term, or long-term.
General Role:
Teach students on a short-term basis as a temporary replacement for a regular classroom teacher, typically using the regular teacher's lesson plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1- Following the lesson plan left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the School's philosophy, goals and objectives.
2- Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
3- Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom.
4- Maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
5- Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
6- Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and School Board Policies.
