Candidates whose prime (PhD) area is medical education will be expected to develop and teach electives in medical education، conduct research into areas of medical education، develop and conduct staff workshops and seminars in medical education، and advise teaching staff on aspects of medical education. In addition، these candidates would be expected to teach introductory courses in medical informatics to medical students، support research into aspects of medical informatics، and support workshops and seminars on aspects of medical informatics and technologyenhanced education.

In addition، these candidates would be expected to assist in teaching medical education electives، support research into aspects of medical education، support medical education workshops and seminars in medical education، and advise teaching staff on aspects of medical education.

Requirements
PhD degree in Medical Education or Medical Informatics with a basic medical degree (MBBS، MD or equivalent) is preferred.
Hold a similar academic rank in a recognized university or academic institution.
A minimum of 7 years teaching experience in a recognized university or academic institutions.
Experience of not less than 3 years in the current academic post.
Evidence of leadership in teaching and supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate students (courses and curriculum development).
Evidence in leadership in scholarly activities (research publication in peer reviewed journals، conferences، symposia).
Evidence of participation and involvement in academic committees.
