About the Role
Overall responsibilities:
Undertaking administrative duties within the PE and sports curriculum area
Assisting in the management of PE teaching and learning resources
To provide in-class support for PE and Swimming
Desirable Experience & Skills:
Experience in teaching swimming
Previous lifeguard experience
Main Duties:
To supervise students in changing areas (same gender areas only) and assist with preparing students for physical education lessons
To work closely with PE staff and fully support learning in PE lessons which may involve leading specific activities
To assist in organizing, promoting, and delivering a range of extracurricular activities
To promote good pupil behavior through being an effective role model, through dealing with conflicts and incidents in line with established policy, and through encouraging pupils to be responsible for their own behavior
Organization of practical equipment, including preparation and storage before and after lessons.
Maintenance and auditing of facilities and equipment
Assisting teaching staff in the maintenance of a safe working environment
Organization of department booking systems for resources
Assisting with learning environments and displays
Auditing weekly PE fixtures and communication via social media and school communication systems
Administration tasks associated with the planning and implementation of PE activities and trips
Provide supervision of students during lunch and break times

About the School
GEMS Metropole School, located in Motor City in Dubai, opened its doors in September 2014 and has continued to flourish and grow in student number and stature.
