منتخب مصر للغواصات الآلية يشارك في نهائيات مسابقة ROV الدولية فى امريكيا

بالتزامن مع مشاركة منتخبنا القومي لكرة القدم في نهائيات كأس العالم بروسيا ، وصل منتخب مصر للغواصات الآلية إلى مدينة سياتل بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية للمشاركة في النهائيات الدولية لمسابقة الغواصات الآلية   (ROV) Remotely Operated underwater Vehicles  التي انطلقت منذ عام 2002 برعاية ودعم من وكالة ناسا لعلوم الفضاء والاستكشاف( NASA)  بالشراكة مع مركز علوم البحار المتقدمة ( MATE) و المؤسسة الوطنية لدعم العلوم بأمريكا ( NSF) ، وبالتعاون مع كبرى الجامعات والمؤسسات البحثية الأمريكية.

حيث يشارك المنتخب المصري ضمن 5 فرق عربية لينافس من خلالها أكثر من 80 فريق من مختلف أنحاء العالم مثل أمريكا، روسيا، إنجلترا، الصين، اليابان، الهند، إندونيسيا، تركيا، المغرب وعديد من الدول العربية في خطوة جديدة من شأنها تعزيز المميزات التنافسية للكوادر المصرية وريادتهم في المحافل والمسابقات الدولية.

تنظم النسخة العربية من المسابقة الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري بالتعاون مع مؤسسة حدث للإبداع وريادة الأعمال ومجمع الإبداع ببرج العرب، تحت رعاية الجهاز القومي لتنظيم الاتصالات والشركة المصرية للاتصالات WE.

اكد الدكتور أسامة إسماعيل رئيس مركز المعلوماتية ورئيس اللجنة العليا للمسابقة قائلاً: “إن الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري تهتم بتنظيم هذه المسابقة باعتبارها إحدى أهم المسابقات العالمية التي تهتم بتطوير تكنولوجيات البحار وتقام منذ أكثر من 16 عامًاً".

وقد أعرب المهندس أحمد البحيري المدير التنفيذي للشركة المصرية للاتصالات والعضو المنتدب عن بالغ سعادته بدعم منتخب مصر للغواصات الآلية قائلاً:" إننا نهتم بدعم الشباب المصري المبدع ونعمل دائما على تسخير كافة الإمكانيات وطاقات الشركة لدعم الكوادر المصرية وتعزيز حضورهم في المحافل العالمية، مؤكداً إن مبادئ وقيم الشركة تتيح دعم مسيرة التميز لأبطال مصر في مختف المجالات، ففي الوقت الذي نرعى فيه منتخب مصر لكرة القدم في رحلة وصوله لنهائيات كأس العالم بروسيا نولي أيضا عناية خاصة لشباب مصر المبدع والمبتكر في كافة المجالات وخاصة العلمية والتكنولوجية والتي ستساهم بشكل كبير في دفع عجلة التنمية والاقتصاد في مصر".

ومن جهته، أشار المهندس/ محمد عبود، المشرف العام على المسابقة ورئيس مؤسسة حدث، إلى أن هذه المسابقة واحدة من أهم المسابقات العلمية، التي تنظم في العالم في مجال الروبوتات البحرية قائلاً:" إن هذا المجال ذو تأثير مباشر على العديد من الصناعات الاستراتيجية مثل البترول والغاز والخدمات البحرية، متوقعاً أن تساهم بشكل كبير في فتح أسواق عمل جديدة للشباب المصري ونقل خبرات تكنولوجية حديثة ومتطورة مما سيسهم في تطوير الصناعة المحلية والبحث العلمي في هذه المجالات الحديثة".

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن نهائيات المسابقة في العام الماضي أقيمت في مدينة لونج بيش بولاية كاليفورنيا، وفاز الفريق المصري "فورتكس " من جامعة الإسكندرية بالمركز الثالث عالمياً متفوقاً على أكثر من 45 فريقا من أمريكا وإنجلترا وكندا والصين والهند وغيرها من دول العالم.

            Coinciding with the success of our national team to participate in the FIFA World Cup   

Egypt’s Automated Submarines team participate in the finals of the International ROV Competition in the U.S.A.: Coinciding with the participation of the Egyptian National Team in the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, Egypt’s Automated Submarines team left to Seattle, U.S. on Tuesday 19 June to take part in ROV Competition (Remotely Operated underwater Vehicles) which was launched in 2002 under the auspices and support of NASA, in partnership with the Center for Advanced Marine Sciences (MATE) and the National Science Foundation of America (NSF), and in collaboration with major U.S. universities and research institutions.         

The Egyptian Team is one of 5 Arab teams that compete with over 80 teams from around the world including the teams of U.S., Russia, England, China, Japan, India, Indonesia, and Turkey, in a new step that would enhance the competitive advantages of Egyptian cadres and their leadership in international forums and competitions.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organizes the Arabic version of the competition in cooperation with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Foundation and the Creativity Complex in Burj Al Arab, under the auspices of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Egyptian Telecommunication Company WE.

"The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is interested in organizing this competition as one of the most important international competitions to develop the technologies of the seas and has been held for more than 16 years," said Dr. Osama Ismail, head of the Information Center and head of the Supreme Committee of the competition.

Eng. Ahmed El Behairy, CEO and Managing Director of Telecom Egypt expressed pleasure of supporting Egypt’s Automated Submarines team; he said: "We are keen to support the creative youth of Egypt and we are always working on harnessing all the capabilities and capabilities of the company to support the Egyptian cadres and enhance their presence in the global forums.” Behairy stressed that the principles and values of the company allow to support the course of excellence for Egypt’s champions at various areas: “While sponsoring the Egyptian football team on its trip to the World Cup in Russia, we also pay special attention to the creative and innovative youth of Egypt in all areas, especially scientific and technological, which will contribute significantly in advancing development and economy in Egypt."

Eng. Mohamed Abboud, General Supervisor of the Competition and Chairman of Hadath Foundation said: "This is one of the most important scientific competitions organized in the world in the field of marine robots." This field has a direct impact on many strategic industries such as Oil and gas and marine services” Abboud expects that the competition is to contribute significantly to the launching of new labor markets for Egyptian youth and the transfer of modern and sophisticated technological expertise, which will contribute to the development of local industry and scientific research in these modern areas.

Worth to mention that Last year's finals were held in Long Beach, California. The Egyptian team “Fortex”of Alexandria University won third place globally, beating more than 45 teams from U.S., England, Canada, China, India and other countries.
